Materials and care

Cleaning and care: All components are completely safe for both dishwasher and hand cleaning.

Glass container: Handmade, lab grade, heat tempered borosilicate glass for extra strength. The same material used in reliable PYREX brand products. While we have done our best to make this as strong as possible, glass is always suspectable to breakage. Please handle with care.

Unfiltered water hopper and lid: Made from extreme corrosive resistant and food-grade 316 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel is non-reactive with water, thus never leaving a metallic taste as some lower quality metals can.

Spigot: All metal components are made from the same 316 stainless material as the hopper and lid. The washers are made from FDA approved silicone, not plastic, and are required to ensure a water tight seal.

Filter: Top and bottom lids are made from FDA approved silicone, with nothing but our filter between. Learn more about our filters here.
